About

About PianoPace

PianoPace helps adult beginners learn piano at a pace that fits real life. Many of us were told we were “too old” or “not musical”. We think most people can learn to accompany themselves and play favourite songs with the right method and short, regular practice.

What we publish

  • Plain-English guides on chords, progressions and playing by ear
  • Practice routines for 15–30 minutes a day
  • Honest reviews of piano courses and apps, including their downsides

How we review

We explain who a course suits and who it does not, link to official pricing and guarantee terms, and never present affiliate offers as independent awards. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Meet the editor

Elise Varden is the pen name of PianoPace’s editor. She writes for adults who are starting piano later in life: plain-English guides to chords, playing by ear and short daily practice routines, plus candid reviews of piano courses and apps. We use a pen name so the focus stays on the lessons rather than on the person; every guide is still reviewed and updated by a real editor.
